Holiday Makers Sent Packing with £80 Fine

Posted: 20th Aug 2008

Holiday centre management and Norfolk Police re enforce the message that violent and threatening behaviour will not be tolerated at holiday centres.

A Manchester family are now back home after officers from Caister Safer Neighbourhood Team were called to Haven Holiday Centre late on Sunday night.

A 19 year old male from Manchester was detained by staff and local officers after threats were made  to the staff by him and his family

The 19 year old was issued with a fixed penalty for threatening behaviour and other members of the family given words of advice.

The following morning in line with their booking conditions the family were evicted from the holiday centre.

This is another good example of the stance being taken by the holiday industry and Norfolk Constabulary that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated and as demonstrated in this case a fine and termination of the holiday will follow.
