Cliff Park School Volunteers Never Give Up
Posted: 20th Aug 2008
Exhausted from the previous days hard work volunteers from Cliff Park School attended the Cobholm and Lichfield Health & Resource Centre at 10am on Friday 15th August 2008.
Everyone was provided with high visibility vests and kitted up with bin bags, gloves, litter picks and gardening tools before getting stuck into the task of litter picking strimming grass areas all in preparation for the fun day.
Lunch at 12 was followed by more work before blowing up 150 balloons ready for the Family Fun Day on Saturday 16th August.
This was the last community project before they set off to Liverpool for 5 days on Monday for a well earned break for all the hard work carried out in the community.
PCSO Abbey Horton from Cobholm Safer Neighbourhood Team who had coordinated and taken part in the day paid tribute to the youngsters.
"I would like to thank the youths and their leader Angie for all their hard work in the Cobholm area, it has made a great difference and helps to keep the local community looking nice, we look forward to working with the group next school holidays. I would also like to thank Pauline the Environmental Ranger for her help and resources for the day"
