Drive Against Unlawful Drug Use

Officers from Safer Neighbourhood Teams based at Gorleston continued Norfolk Constabularies drive against unlawful drug use by executing two warrants issued under the misuse of drugs act in Gorleston over the weekend. The first on Friday night was at an address in Queens Crescent where one male was given a street caution for possession of cannabis and a second male arrested for possession of class A and C drugs with intent to supply, he has subsequently been bailed to return to the police station pending analysis of the seized items. The second warrant on Sunday was at an address in Bells Marsh Road, one male at the location was issued a street caution for cannabis, a second male was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and bailed to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court later this month. Sgt Craske of Gorleston Safer Neighbourhood Team commented that the teams were embedded into the community and are gaining information all the time and will act on it.
