Local residents all agree that the area is a lot quieter than it had been previously and were glad to see a police presence

Not in My Neighbourhood, That's the message from residents in an area of Little Snoring who had been subjected to a 4 week period of having eggs and other missiles thrown at their property at least once a week.
As a national Home Office campaign to raise public awareness of all the work that is being done by local agencies to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and make communities safer commences Little Snoring residents working with the SNT resolve a problem.
These types of incidents are always difficult to detect as they tend to occur during darkness and are over in a short space of time.
Police patrols were increased in the area, PCSO for the area Sarah Kirby carried out a leaflet drop to residents explaining she would be in the area; this was followed up by a personal visit to residents.
The response from the residents was very positive with a great deal of intelligence being gained and a willingness to tackle the problem from the community.
As a result anti social behaviour referrals were sent to the North Norfolk Safer Community Partnership who wrote to those that the intelligence had identified as the possible offenders. Following the issuing of the letters the anti social behaviour stopped.
The benefits from individual visits by the officer were far more than she had expected as she found the residents willing to talk about the area. Therefore she was able to gain a really good insight to the area whilst being able to explain the role of the SNT and what action could be taken with the help of the community and other partner agencies.
PCSO Sarah Kirby said "I did not receive any negative responses and most of them invited me in and were really positive. I thought I was going to get a lot of complaints regarding the youngsters but this was not the case".
Yet another example of the SNT in the community and what can be achieved by working with the community and other partner agencies for the benefit of the community.
