PCSO Praised By Residents For His Good Work-Broadland
Posted: 9th Sep 2008
Local people in one area of Broadland now feel safer in their community thanks to the work of their local policing team.
The Sprowston and Spixworth Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), in particular PCSO Simon Bunting, has put a swift stop to local youths riding around illegally on mopeds and mini motos in one area of the neighbourhood.
The issue came to light when local residents informed their SNT that they were concerned that the youngsters who usually play on the green were being put at risk by this disruptive behaviour.
The SNT tackled the dangerous behaviour by increasing their patrols in the area when the mini motors were more prevalent and speaking to the youngsters.
The team educated the youngsters and explained the dangers of their behaviour and the effect that it was having on other local people.
PCSO Simon Bunting has been highly praised by residents in the way he responded to their community concern.
Explaining how impressed he was by his actions, one resident said PSCO Bunting was "very focused and got the job done and the issue has now stopped.
"For someone the age of PCSO Bunting to be so switched on and community focused set him in good stead to solve the issue. I was very impressed with his attitude and how understanding he was."
