SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS (SNTs) FORGE A PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL SUPERMARKET
The North and South Yarmouth Safer Neighbourhood Teams are working in partnership with Sainsburys Supermarket, St. Nicholas Road, Great Yarmouth to improve community engagement within the eastern area. Officers will operate from within the store during store opening times and will staff a desk on a part-time basis.
Between the hours of 1900 - 2100 every Thursday, and 1000 - 1200 every Sunday, the community will have the opportunity to meet and get to know their local officers face to face. They will be able to get information and advice, forward community issues and suggestions and help influence local Safer Neighbourhood Priorities, all at their convenience when they go shopping.
Every six weeks there will be the opportunity to 'Ask the Inspector' where the community can attend a Surgery in the store restaurant area. Dates and times for these surgeries will be advertised in the near future.
Events, initiatives and appeals will be launched from the foyer area and there will be a 'Neighbourhood Challenge' postbox where you can forward your suggestions directly to the SNT at any time during store opening hours. There will also be photos of the local officers, so that you can identify the specific officer who looks after your area and the current SNT priorities will also be advertised.
This is a new method of Community Engagement that will enhance the local Neighbourhood Action Team meetings, currently held in the local community. It is anticipated that capturing a wider part of the community will provide more accurate views of our community and help us to shape the way we do business in future.

Crime performance

The tables are updated on a monthly basis and compare the last three months of recorded crime against the same three month period in the previous year. In that way you can see if crime is increasing or decreasing and what type of crime has the greatest impact in terms of volume.

Charge
Summons to court
Caution
Offence taken into consideration
Reprimand
Final Warning
Fixed Penalty Notice
